If you have a mobile home, then installing an air conditioning unit is extremely important. You want to make sure that you protect yourself from temperature changes, so finding the right AC option can really help. It will bring you a very good value and experience, and the results themselves will be great every time. With that in mind, it’s imperative to make sure that you select good air conditioning solutions, and here you have some of the best.

Packaged air conditioning system
A lot of people choose this type of unit because it helps cool down your mobile home with great ease. It’s a system that will deliver a very good value for money, and the experience itself is second to none every time. Since this is a single system that has the air handler coils and compressor in a single system, you can install it outside of the mobile home. It’s a great way to eliminate any noise. In some cases you may need to install some ducts, but that’s not always going to happen, depending on the situation.

Ductless mini-split unit
This is a great idea because it allows you to avoid any ductwork installation. That can be very problematic, so handling it accordingly can make a lot of sense. All you have to do is to give that a try for yourself, and in the end that’s the main issue to take into consideration. This type of air conditioning is great for mobile home, it makes cooling a lot easier and you can also install everything without that
much of a problem. It totally works too, which makes it one of the best mobile home cooling solutions.

Central air conditioning
While this requires ducts, it’s a great and cost-efficient solution that you can use. It certainly gives you a very good value for money, and at the same time you can also release the heat and keep your mobile home cool. Some air conditioning units might be a bit large for your mobile home, but you can still find smaller solutions within your budget, so that’s definitely something to keep in mind.

Window AC unit
This is the least desirable option because it’s very loud and it can only cool a small area. Plus, you don’t have energy efficiency, which can become a problem. Understanding what causes these issues will help a lot, and it will solve a vast range of problems. Just try to use that to your own advantage, and the results themselves can be amazing in the end.

Conclusion
We recommend you to study all the air conditioning options for your mobile home, as that’s what will help you figure out how you can get the right value for money. Not all of them might suit your needs, but that’s why you need to assess and study everything so you can get a really good experience. Just try to take that into consideration, and the results can be great every time.

Finding the right air conditioning unit for your home is very important. At first, choosing the best AC unit doesn’t seem that complicated, you just want to have more BTU if the home is large. But the truth is that once you hear notions like FCU and AHU air conditioning, then things become a lot more complex. This is where you have to wonder, which is the difference between fan coil and air handling units? Let’s find out right away.

Air Handling Units
The Air Handling Units are devices that handle air. That means the device will cool, heat or transport air. Most of the time, Air Handling Units are large machines that will be a part of the HVAC system. The main focus for such a unit is to take air from the outside, cool it and then blow it inside. It’s a system that works incredibly well, and it can bring in front a very good set of results in the long run.

These are the best air conditioning units because they can handle a lot of air. Some of the recirculate the indoor air, others don’t. The ones that don’t recirculate the indoor air are called makeup air units. You will find Air Handling Units on rooftops, although most of them are on the side of buildings too. These are some of the most popular types of air conditioning units, and that’s the most important aspect you
need to take into consideration.

Fan Coil Units
A Fan Coil Unit is a self-contained unit. This usually has a heating or cooling exchanger and a fan. The fans will be in the same space with the Fan Coil Unit. You can easily control this manually or with a thermostat. Some people like Fan Coil Units because they offer a lot of customization and you don’t need to deal with ductwork. These recirculate the air inside and they don’t take air from the outside. In many cases, the smaller fan coil units are named terminal units because they can be seen hanging at times.

Which is the better option?
Most of the time the air handling units are used outside, while the Fan Coil Units are used inside. The FCU has a single fan, the AHU can have multiple fans and multiple controls for the system based on the situation. That’s because an AHU is a lot more complex, and it can even have reheating and humidifying sections based on the situation.

In the end, it’s all a matter of personal preference. Lots of people use Fan Coil Units because they want to avoid any ductwork in their home. However, the AHU is a lot better because you have more complexity, more features and even reheating and humidifying properties. It’s a great option to keep in mind, and it will bring in front astounding results. As a whole, they are both very good, you just need to pick the option that suits your needs the most.

Since temperatures are rising quite a lot during the summer, it’s very important to find the best strategies to help you cool down your home properly. With that in mind, there are some small tips and tricks you can use to eliminate the unwanted heat from your home. Here’s what you can do.

Turn off lights when you are not inside
It’s a very good idea to do this because it will lower the electricity costs. It will also keep the home cool, so you get the best of both worlds. With the right amount of patience, it has the potential to make a huge difference.

Don’t cook inside
Cooking inside your home will raise the temperature considerably. Cooking during the coolest time of the day is the best thing you can do. That would be either early morning or late in the evening.

Use blinds and curtains
Curtains, blinds and reflective window panels will help keep the sun out. This is a great way to reflect sunlight naturally, and that can bring in great results every time. If you do that, the temperature will be a lot cooler inside.

Use a dehumidifier
If you lower the humidity in your home, you will notice the temperature feels a lot lower. That’s a great idea to keep in mind, so investing in a dehumidifier does help a lot.

Set your ceiling fans to rotate counter-clockwise
If you do that, it will help lower the temperature in your home. This might not really feel like much, but it makes a huge difference. It just eliminates the hassle and you will be very happy with the experience and results.

Unplug electronics
Unplugging electronics brings in less heat. That means you will have a cooler interior, and that’s exactly the thing you need to take into consideration here. Learning how to unplug electronics might not seem like a lot, but it’s a habit that works very well.

Hang the wet laundry on a clothesline
This will help cool the air that comes inside your home instead of heating things up. It’s a very interesting system and one of those things that you will cherish and enjoy quite a lot. You will be very impressed with how much this cools down your home.

Allow the night air in
At night, the air is significantly colder, and that’s when you want to bring in air inside your home. This helps quite a lot, since you can keep the cold air inside and prevent it from heating it up with the options presented above.

We recommend you to use these strategies, and you will have no problem to keep your home cool during the hot summer days. The costs are still low, most of the time you won’t spend anything, and that’s what will give you the best results and experience all the time. Give these ideas a try and they will be well worth the effort!

Picking the right air conditioning solutions for your garage is no small feat. It’s very important to make sure that you have the right AC unit in your garage, so you can keep everything safe and ensure that nothing ends up overheating. That’s especially true if you store items inside your garage or anything like that. Try to take your time, figure out which is the better options and results can be great.

Mini split air conditioners
These are very good because they are simple and you don’t need a ductwork. It’s the main reason why a lot of people get these units in the first place. The refrigerant and power line are connecting the 2 units via a small hole in the wall. You install the indoor unit in the garage, getting a wall mounted one works great because it’s efficient and then you just connect it to the outside and you are good to go. It’s a very good and efficient system, it’s DIY friendly, the size can differ based on your needs and you get loots of value for money.

Wall air conditioners
These are similar to window units but you don’t need a window. The great thing is that you will need a rectangular hole in the wall. That being said, you will also have heat pumps to ensure that you have a great temperature throughout the year, which is always a great thing to have in a situation like this. The wall air conditioners can be a little tricky to install, but if you do them right, it will be worth the effort all the time.

Window air conditioners
These window air conditioning tools are great if you have a small garage or up to a 2-door garage. The thing to keep in mind here is the fact that they are affordable and they also provide a very good efficiency. On top of that, you also have some really good features. Some even have Wi-Fi to control the unit remotely. Plus, they have auto restart, a multitude of fan speeds and cooling levels, timers and
remotes. This type of air conditioning for your garage is great, it gets the job done and that’s what matters.

Portable air conditioning
If you just need to cool down when you work in the garage, it makes a lot of sense to give this a try and use a portable air conditioning unit. This is great because you can take it with you anywhere you want. It does need to be vented out a window, however these units are not powerful. But if you just need a good, personal air conditioning solution, this will work pretty well.

We recommend you to give these air conditioning solutions a try and see what works for yourself. It can give you a really good result and the quality is always amazing. You just need to take your time and see what works for you. With the right approach, results can be incredible, but it all comes down to what air
conditioning solution works for your garage and preferences!

Having an upper floor that’s too hot is something that can happen at times. It’s important to understand what leads to this type of issue and also what you can do with it. With the right ideas you can make it work, it all comes down to having patience and not rushing in any way. Here are some tips to help you.

Why is the upper floor hot?
There are multiple reasons why the upper floor can be hot in the first place. One of the first issues would be the hot air. If you have the HVAC unit on the first floor, then the hot air is pushed upwards and it will arrive in the upper floor. Not only that, but the roof can get hot too. And if the upper floor is right under your roof, that means it will be very hot in there as well. Even the ducts will take cool air from the system throughout the home, but if they are improperly installed that can lead to problems.

What can you do?
When you encounter any type of issue like this, you need to avoid any panic. Thankfully, there are ways to handle such a problem, and they are not that complicated even. First, you want to redirect the airflow to the second floor. You can find the HVAC dampers on the ducts that go to the first floor, close them halfway down or more and that will lead to the second floor.

It also makes sense to change the filters. These will offer a much better airflow and it will help you more than you imagine. We also recommend you to ventilate and also insulate the attic. That will help you avoid moisture and heat in the attic, which in the end can lead to some extraordinary results every time. You might also want to insulate the windows too. We believe this is a very good idea because it helps prevent any seepage. Seal all the gaps, holes and cracks and you will be fine in the end.

Also, make sure that you repair the AC unit, it might be malfunctioning. In some cases it might even be broken, so you have to replace it. You just have to understand the causes behind this severe heating issue and then you can take action as fast as possible.

Final thoughts
Despite the fact that your upper floor can get hot fast, there are ways to get around it. As long as you have enough patience you will be fine. The idea is to constantly adapt to the process and ensure that you chose the best solution. It all comes down to testing out multiple options, but in the end that’s the best possible approach. Do that, and you will be just fine most of the time. It’s a great opportunity to cool down your home, so just adapt these tips to your needs and you will stop dealing with so much heat on the upper floor.

It’s always important to modify the thermostat settings based on the season. Some people tend to leave the same settings during the summer and winter, but that’s not always going to be ok. That being said, you are free to choose whatever settings are ok for you and adjust or adapt as you go along. At the end of the day every setting you choose is good as long as it works for you. But here are some recommended
options for both winter and summer!

What is the best thermostat temperature for the summer?
What a lot of people don’t realize is that you don’t really have to keep your home really cold during the summer. Sure, you can do that, but it’s not always going to be helpful to do such a thing. If anything you are going to spend a lot of money on cooling and you can avoid that if you just select the right temperature.

Based on our own experiences we found that the ideal thermostat temperature for the summer is 78 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s also a good idea to either turn the thermostat off or just raise the value when you are away. The last thing you want is to just cool an empty house, so it makes sense to avoid spending a lot of money on cooling when no one is home. You could program the thermostat to start cooling when you arrive, so you may want to go with that approach and focus on that if you want.

Of course, this is the ideal temperature but your family members might end up not agreeing to it. So you have to talk with each other and see which is the middleground in a situation like this. You have to figure out the process, adjust to the situation and just explore all the options here. But you can start with that
ideal temperature and just go from there if you want.

Ideal thermostat temperature during the winter
Obviously the temperatures are a lot lower during the winter, so keeping the thermostat at the same values is not going to cut it. What you want to do is to keep the thermostat temperature at around 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Again, this is a median value, you can easily set it higher or lower accordingly. Yet we found that this offers a great middleground and everyone in the family will still enjoy this whether they like colder or warmer temperatures.

If you lower the thermostat around 10-15 degrees for 8 hours you can reduce the heating bill with up to 15%. So it does make sense to know when to raise the thermostat temperatures and when to keep them at the regular levels. Avoid any rush and remember that managing the thermostat temperatures wisely is always a very good idea. It will take a little bit of time to achieve that, but if you do it right then nothing will stand in your way.

With so many different options on the market, it can be quite the challenge to find the right one to suit your needs. Thankfully, we are here to help, so here you have a few tips on how you can buy an A/C unit in a proper manner.

Capacity
Based on what space you want to start cooling or heating, you will have to focus on a certain AC unit capacity. This will vary all the time, but it’s important to avoid going overboard as you try to obtain the best value and results.

Maintenance and cleaning
Proper cleaning and maintenance are very important and you really have to make sure that the A/C unit is very easy to clean. While maintenance tasks are the same for all A/C units, you do want to make sure that you are obtaining the ultimate set of results and the utmost outcome without having to worry.

Installation
Is the A/C unit hard to install or not? That depends on multiple factors, but it’s crucial to know how to handle those factors and ensure that everything works exactly the way you want it to.

Air quality
What air quality you are getting from the A/C unit? Is it delivering a very good air quality or not? There can be problems in this situation, so you have to figure out a way to make it work. Thankfully, most of the modern A/C units convey an amazing experience every time.

Price
Of course prices also play a major role when it comes to A/C units. The last thing you want is to overspend, so investing in a more affordable product can really make a lot of sense. Just try to use that to your advantage and the results themselves can be really good every time.

Window or split A/C
The type of A/C you use also matters. Split units might be easier to handle, others prefer window-based units because they are cheaper. That’s all up to you here, but you are bound to obtain some great results here, all you need is to take it into account and it will totally be worth it every time.

Energy efficiency
You always need to target energy efficiency as a very important aspect here. You want to make it work and you have to bring it to the next level every time. A good A/C unit will always have stellar energy efficiency and obviously that’s the thing that you want to pursue as much as possible.

In the end, it’s a very good idea to study the market as you try to get the best A/C unit for you. This is a challenging process, but it will give you some amazing results if you do it right. Just try to take that into account and you will be impressed with the payoff!

We all use our air conditioning unit often, but we don’t really know that much about it other than turning it on and off. The reality is that any air conditioning unit is a complex machine and you need to take good care of it. Yes, proper maintenance is pretty much mandatory, otherwise you will end up with various AC problems and that’s something you really want to focus on.

Replace filters often / clean them
A very good idea is to keep the filters clean. Depending on the filter material, you either have to replace them or to clean them up. Make sure that the filters are clean as otherwise you will have respiratory issues. That’s something you really need to take into consideration at this time.

You don’t need freon every year
You need freon only if there are leaks. But more often than not leaks won’t appear each time, so you should talk with a professional first. Freon might be needed once a few years, but again, talking with an expert will help you a lot.

Avoid having weed eaters near the outdoor unit
Usually the weed eaters might end up bringing problems and the pipes or wires can be cut. In that case, the best thing you can do is to call an AC service professional to see how they can solve the problem as fast as possible.

Try to not off-set the temperature more than 5 degrees while away
If you do that, it will be very hard to bring the temperature down at the desired level. You want to save energy, not to consume a lot of it. A wise approach here can make quite the difference, all you need is patience and it will be worth the effort.

Always check the indoor and outdoor unit for leaks
The reason you want to check for leaks is because it will help you quite a bit and it will help eliminate any hassle. You do want to test this out for yourself, but more often than not checking for leaks helps immensely and it will eliminate any problems that can appear in the long run.

See if there’s frost on the air conditioning unit or pipes
If you see frost on the pipes, then the system is not cooling properly. You need to take your time here and figure out why something like this is happening. If the air conditioner is thawed, then it might start cooling again. Try to solve the root problem by calling a professional.

As you can see, there are many things that people don’t know about their air conditioning. It’s important to have a good understanding of their AC unit, as you will have a much better result and the experience will be great. Take your time and ensure that you have the best AC unit maintenance done from time to time. It will help a lot and it will eliminate many potential problems!

Air Conditioning issues can appear out of nowhere, so the best thing that you can do is to know what AC problems arise for others and how you can prevent them. It might take a little bit to figure out everything, but in the end it will be well worth it and that’s what you want to pursue the most. With that in mind, here are the issues that you should focus on and prevent.

Duct problems
There are many times when the ducts are either damaged, they have holes or they are not offering the best efficiency. Sometimes the ducts might even be stuck, these things happen and you rarely have any sort of control over them. That’s why you need to handle the duct issues as fast as you can, otherwise there will be problems. Regular maintenance will be able to help you with that.

Dirty filters
If the filters are dirty, then you will not have clean air inside. It’s that easy. That’s the main reason why you need to replace filters often. If you don’t make such a change, then there will be problems and that’s obviously the type of thing you need to focus on. It will be well worth it, so try to consider as much as possible.

Warm air is leaking
In case warm air is leaking, then there might be some insulation issues near the Air Conditioning duct most likely. Perform an inspection and see if everything is fully insulated. If not, you will end up with such a problem and you want to tackle it the best way that you can.

The AC is constantly vibrating
Normally the Air Conditioning unit will not vibrate in any way. So if you encounter vibrations, this is a sign that the unit was not installed properly. The best thing you can do at this point is to ask another professional to assess the installation and see if it can be improved.

Cooling is not even
That might happen due to many situations and cases. It can be due to blocked vents, blocked registers, ductwork problems or anything like that. Or you might have separate zoning systems on the thermostat.

Water is dripping from the Air Conditioning unit
Why is this happening? Sometimes the issue appears because the unit is clogged, so the main focus is to flush out any compounds with the use of compressed air. It will work nicely and it will give you the results you would need all the time.

Conclusion
It’s very important to understand why the Air Conditioning problems appear and how you can deal with them. Sometimes the best approach is to hire a professional to inspect and perform repairs as needed. But there are situations where you can handle everything yourself. Just try to take your time, make sure that you apply these tips and it will be easier to solve any issues that arise. It’s not always going to be perfect, but assess the situation and prevent any issues before they become significant!

Now that the end of summer is here, you need to think about A/C maintenance. The A/C unit needs a lot of attention from you, as it did end up working most of the summer. So you want to make sure that it will run seamlessly even after this demanding summer. And there are a few things you need to keep in mind, as you will see below.

Clean the condensate line and the coils
Most of the time the condensate line and dirty coils will cause issues with your outdoor AC unit. You will always focus on cleaning the coils if possible. Professionals have all the tools needed for this type of task, so you should consider hiring the best experts for this type of situation. It might not seem like a lot, but not cleaning these will end up with problems and that’s certainly something you want to avoid.

Replace the air filters
The air filters will end up being clogged with dust or pollen, so you need to either clean or replace them from time to time. Try to do that as often as possible as it’s always worth it. Replacing those filters is not going to be a problem, as long as you know what you are getting into. Buy replacement filters and you
will be just fine most of the time.

Listen to the A/C and perform a visual inspection
What you want to do is figure out if there are any unusual sounds. These sounds might be a sign that there are problems. While there. Check if there are any frayed wires, leaves or anything outside your unit and even various items that block it inside. You want to make sure that the AC unit is working adequately and in a proper manner. And once you do that results will be more than ok.

Call preventive checkup teams
These will come to you and double check to see if there are any issues. You never really know what you can expect and that’s why you have to commit to the process and make it work. Of course, hiring a professional team will make the process smooth and professional, try to keep all of that in mind for the best results.

Test it out at different temperatures
Sometimes the A/C unit might work great at some temperature but bring in problems at higher temperatures. It’s important to double-check this. If you’re not sure how to handle this, work with a team of experts.

Doing the right A/C maintenance tasks will help protect your unit in the long run. You need to make sure that everything runs adequately for winter or the next summer. Plus, if you don’t repair some issues now, it might end up getting worse, so you have to try and eliminate all that hassle as much as possible. Otherwise there will be issues. Thankfully, proper A/C maintenance will keep everything on track and under control!
