Eco-Last Coil System™

The Eco-Last Coil offers smarter thinking and a better design.

One of the most impressive pieces of technology found in select Allied Commercial K-Series and Z-Series units is the Eco-Last Coil, an all-aluminum coil that offers substantial advantages over conventional coils, including lower weight, greater corrosion resistance and the use of less refrigerant.

The advantages of the Eco-Last Coil are found throughout its construction.

Since it’s made of aluminum without any copper components, the Eco-Last Coil is not only 59% lighter than ordinary coils, but it’s also more resistant to corrosion. The Eco-Last Coil’s construction uses up to 20% fewer brazed joints than conventional coils. This reduces the chance of leaks developing over time, for even greater reliability.

Environmentally responsible design

Because it uses micro-channels, the Eco-Last Coil can create the same cooling output as conventional coils while using up to 52% less refrigerant. This can help buildings qualify for LEED points.

Easy to appreciate and easy to clean

Micro-channel construction means the Eco-Last Coil can be cleaned with an ordinary hose. This eliminates the need to carry harsh chemicals up to the roof, and helps eliminate the roof damage that corrosive cleaners can cause over time.

Lab-designed and tested to offer greater reliability

Allied Commercial’s extensive research when developing the Eco-Last Coil included coil testing with an independent corrosion test lab. The data produced from this testing details just how impressive the Eco-Last coil’s corrosion resistance can be. Read the research data for yourself in Allied Commercial’s white paper.
